1. How the commercial model works
AltAPIs plans to earn fees from clearly identified sponsored-ranking positions. It may also introduce affiliate/referral links, where a provider pays a commission following an eligible action. This notice is not a claim that every directory link earns money or that an affiliate programme is currently connected. The current archive does not have an active affiliate-link management integration.
2. Labels before the click
Paid boards and sponsor content are labelled “Sponsored”. Any future affiliate call to action must say “Affiliate link — we may earn a commission” near the link itself. A footer disclaimer alone is not the disclosure. The label must remain readable on mobile, in a newsletter and wherever the commercial content appears.
3. Independent and paid order are separate
A payment buys the visibility described by a sponsored offer; it must not rewrite independent archive scores, source facts or editorial order. Being included or highly ranked is not a claim of a commercial relationship. Read Methodology and the sponsorship policy for the meaning of each board.
4. Your choice and provider terms
You can visit a provider directly rather than use a referral link. The provider controls prices, promotions and eligibility. We do not make a universal “no extra cost” promise unless the specific programme supports it. An external provider may use its own attribution cookies after you leave AltAPIs; our local preference control cannot control that destination.
5. Reporting unclear commercial content
A paid link, sponsored claim or material relationship that is not clear should be reported through the contact centre. Payment does not justify misleading statements, fake reviews or unsubstantiated product claims. Future affiliate functionality requires a programme register and link-level disclosures before publication.
