A 1,095,845,888-parameter decoder-only Transformer for Python code completion. Data pipeline, tokenizer, architecture, training loop, checkpoint merging and evaluation were all written and run by one person on one consumer GPU. This folder holds the weights; the code, design record, ablation report and failure log live at https://github.com/TightXu/SimpleCodeLLM. Parameter count is the sum of the 143 released tensors, and equals the count of the instantiated CodeLLM class. It is deliberately not the value of ModelConfig.numparams, whose closed form double-counts the two per-block norms and omits finalnorm (that property returns 1,095,925,760). dataset boundaries. This checkpoint stopped at 30,977,679,360 tokens (31.0 B) after 630,000 steps. equal-weight average of the last 21 checkpoints (saved every 500 steps, a 10,500-step window) (mergecheckpointsweighted.py), not the last step. Can: complete short Python functions when given a signature and the opening indentation. On a human-graded benchmark — 11 tasks, five seeds, scored 0/1/2, maximum 110 — this model…

Compatibility and lineage
Reported languages: code
Base-model lineage was not included.
Parameter count is not a RAM/VRAM requirement. Check precision, quantization, context length and runtime compatibility in the model card; no hardware or API-cost claim is inferred here.
Use and evaluate
Check license terms and access requirements first. Review the model card’s documented loading instructions, evaluations and safety limitations. Benchmark scores are not imported by this directory, and popularity is not an accuracy ranking.
No model weights are downloaded or executed by AltAPIs. Never enable remote model code without reviewing it.
